with any questions you have about our admissions process. We welcome your questions and you! At any time: Contact the Admissions Office and get your name on the list to receive mailings. Attend EMS music programs, chapels, athletic events, dramas and other EMS events to get a feel for the EMS experience. We would be happy to arrange complimentary tickets for performances, just let us know!
Six months to one year before you plan to enroll: Request an information packet and attend either the Fall or Spring Open House/Student Visitation Day events.
September-March: Return your Application for Admission with the $25 application fee. After your Application for Admission is received, reference forms will be sent and a school transcript will be requested. Applications received by March 17 will get $100 off tuition for the coming year.
September-May: Student Visitation Days! Attend the days we have set aside for student visits OR schedule a day to visit classes that best suits your schedule. Simply contact Crystal Jackson, Admissions Counselor ahead of time so she make arrangements for your visit (including lunch and student tour guide/buddy for the visit). November-May: When your application file is complete, the Admissions Committee will consider your application and you will be notified of their decision. The time between application and notification depends on how quickly the transcript and references are received.
September-January: You may apply online for financial aid at Family Financial Needs Assessment (FFNA). A copy of a filed tax return is part of the application.
March 17: Financial Aid application is due to F.A.S.T.. This date will determine whether you can receive financial aid.
Mid-May: Parents of accepted students will receive a Payment Plan Form listing options for payment. Financial Aid awards will appear on the Payment Plan Forms of accepted students who qualify for aid.
May 31: Signed Payment Plan Forms are due. New students pay Student General Fee. This fee ensures that you will receive the summer mailings of enrollment materials
June/July: You will receive two enrollment and registration mailings. School calendar, orientation and registration information as well as the student handbook will be sent to you.
August: Orientation and back-to-school gatherings take place.
